And WEEK 2 (post-Thanksgiving holiday)!  It’s already done and gone on by, but I’m still getting up to the date.  Milestones of the days:  I learn the term ‘ramp up’ and look for curious ways to apply it outside of roasting, I assist in selecting Black Cat components to be used at the Silver Lake coffee bar, I make caps for the bossmen, I learn to love the term ‘lacky,’ I learn the gaseous functions of the afterburner and how to check the pilot, I scoop (lots) of coffee, talks about espresso evaluation in the morning (tasting by component) and talks of data collection.  Thanks to Chris and Chris in Chicago and Deaton and Steve.  Hats off (just not by the roaster).
